Martin Ewart
Founder
Martin is an experienced Executive and Consultant. He is the founder of Hanya Partners and currently Group CEO of Taranata. He has worked with clients all over the world to drive their effectiveness and IT performance. Martin spent 5 years leading Logica’s Commercial Sector Business in the UK. Prior to joining Logica, Martin’s career has predominantly been focused in the Financial Services sector with senior roles both client side and in Services.

As an advocate of coaching as a key leadership discipline in his teams over the last ten years, Martin created Hanya Partners to focus on driving business performance through deeper teamwork and collaboration from leaders. He possesses an unrivalled depth and breadth of experience on both client side and services side of industry. Martin has worked with top teams and individuals across a wide range of industries. Martin is fast paced and has a particular talent for focusing people into action. His highly pragmatic approach works especially well in helping talent step up into new senior roles.
Phil White
Phil is a highly skilled specialist with 17 years’ experience within procurement, supplier management and real estate. His experience is predominantly in the Financial Services sector but also Aerospace, Professional Services and FMCG. Phil brings deep knowledge in Sourcing, Contracting, Supplier Performance and Supplier Risk Management.

Gordon is a highly experienced procurement executive with sourcing knowledge which spans a variety of industries – Utilities, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Public Sector. Throughout his career Gordon has always led a variety of leading edge commercial projects for his clients where he has continuously delivered outstanding results and savings.

She is well known in the IT & Change community, with a reputation for looking after our team members, helping us deliver value to our engagements.
Lee Murray

Lee is Chief Client Officer of the Taranata Group, including Hanya Partners. Her role is to grow customer relationships and drive service excellence in all that we do. It is to drive greater collaboration with our clients, bringing their voice in to the heart of our organisation and ensure that the services we offer reflect their evolving needs.
Suzanne Lamont
Associate Partner
Suzanne Lamont leads the Hanya Partners Talent and Organisation Health team to help clients create healthy, high-performing organisations and leadership teams that can deliver on their ambitions. Suzanne joined Hanya Partners to lead a consultancy focused on organisation, team and leader development.

Carolyn Murray is highly experienced HR and OD Professional who has proactively led initiatives to improve organisational performance and foster the contribution of employees. She has worked at a senior level in both the public and private sector, unionised and non-unionised environments and across a variety of industries.

Chris Boon
Associate Director
Chris is a highly experienced Senior Consultant, specialising within the financial services sector. He has led both public and private sector supplier evaluation and selection programmes from inception to completion, supported by significant supplier side experience in Core Platforms, BPO and ITO. Chris is an accomplished Commercial and Contract negotiator.
Tom Luft
Tom has over 18 years procurement experience in multiple industry sectors spanning a wide range of roles and responsibilities. For the last 12 years, Tom’s roles have focused on technology and services sourcing & supplier management. He now provides customer focused procurement services helping organisations to deliver on vendor and programme objectives.
Katie Jankovic
Management Accountant
Katie is a fully qualified CIMA Member and an experienced Management Accountant having worked in the industry for over a decade. Starting with Head Resourcing, part of the Taranata Group, in 2009, she has responsibilities for many of the constituent businesses and joined Hanya Partners as their Management Accountant and Business Partner in May 2021.
Brendan Coleman
A highly experienced professional, with over 25 years’ experience in Procurement, Commercial Management, Transformation, Vendor Management, Contract Management, Cost Management, Real Estate Management and Project Management. Brendan is experienced in Core System selection and procurement, IT procurement and Business Process outsourcing.
David Downs
With 20+ years strategic sourcing and procurement experience, David specialises in working in the Financial Services sector, but has worked across a range of industries including Utilities, Hospitality, Retail and Public Sector. Richard has used his cross-industry experience to help clients get the most from their sourcing arrangements (encompassing selection, negotiation, contracting, performance management, commercial / regulatory risk & compliance, and M&A support).
Phil White
Managing Partner
Phil is a highly skilled specialist with 17 years’ experience within procurement, supplier management and real estate. His experience is predominantly in the Financial Services sector but also Aerospace, Professional Services and FMCG. Phil brings deep knowledge in Sourcing, Contracting, Supplier Performance and Supplier Risk Management.
From starting in the airline industry, Phil has subsequently worked in Financial Services and Professional Services, managing multiple procurement categories including IT, HR, Digital Marketing, Professional Services and Debt Recovery. Phil has a depth of experiences in leading material outsourcing exercises, sourcing and contracting for core banking, finance and insurance platforms and managing complex settlement negotiations.
In the last 10 years Phil has been Head of Procurement for the UK’s leading provider of lifestyle insurance, a UK challenger bank, and a global Financial Services consultancy. During his career Phil has either supported or led the creation of five new procurement and supply chain functions and has considerable expertise in the building of procurement processes, supplier risk management and procurement performance management.
During his career Phil has delivered in complex environments ranging from pressurised cost cutting in the Airline industry post 9/11, acquisition / divestment / integration programmes, to operating in private equity. Irrespective of the environment Phil has built strong and lasting stakeholder and supplier relationships based on seeking to understand and solve business problems.
Phil is also a long standing Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and is committed to supporting colleagues with their professional development.
Gordon Robertson

Gordon is a highly experienced procurement executive with sourcing knowledge which spans a variety of industries – Utilities, Manufacturing, Financial Services and Public Sector. Throughout his career Gordon has always led a variety of leading edge commercial projects for his clients where he has continuously delivered outstanding results and savings.
Gordon began his Procurement & Supply Chain career as a graduate trainee benefiting from a ‘grass roots’ training programme where he worked in Logistics, Finance, Accounts Payable, Major Projects Sourcing, Corporate Team Sourcing and Business Services Sourcing. During this time he established himself as an effective procurement negotiator able to handle large technically complex sourcing deals.
His commercial acumen and leadership skills have accelerated his career and enabled him to influence and deliver high profile delivery partnerships, implement Lean Six Sigma principles to gain efficiencies, rationalise supply chains to reduce risk and increase leverage, drive cost reductions across a variety of categories of spend and revitalise procurement functions through effective transformation programmes (people/ process/ systems).
In the past 10 years Gordon’s main focus has been assisting his clients improve their IT category spend. This has involved transition to cloud services, rationalise application stacks, develop digital first strategy, transitioning to offshore/ near shore delivery models, BPO, outsourcing of ADAM services and transforming data hosting. He has also supported 2 large company acquisitions and led the supplier consolidation activities for both.
Gordon has been a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing (MCIPS) for over 16 years.
Suzanne Lamont
Associate Partner
Suzanne Lamont leads the Hanya Partners Talent and Organisation Health team to help clients create healthy, high-performing organisations and leadership teams that can deliver on their ambitions.
Suzanne joined Hanya Partners to lead a consultancy focused on organization, team and leader development. Prior to this she spent 5 years successfully navigating integration and transformation as Standard Life Aberdeen plc, now abrdn, was formed out of the merger of Standard Life plc and Aberdeen Asset Management plc – one of the largest mergers in the UK. Suzanne’s progression to Global Talent and Organisation Director provides testament to her leadership, relationship and subject matter strengths.
Prior to this Suzanne grew from scratch her own private practice in organisation consulting and executive coaching; achieving 100% repeat business her clients spanned 8 sectors, including IT, life sciences, fashion, financial services and oil and gas.
In her time working with a leading Californian network computing company (28,000 employees; 100+ countries) Suzanne worked frequently at corporate centre in Silicon Valley and with leaders and leadership teams across N. America and Europe plus Russia and Middle East.
Suzanne is a highly skilled Organisation Development and Design practitioner with deep expertise in change, culture development, leadership, talent and succession. She is a professional Executive Coach, a leadership transition coach and leadership team coach. Suzanne is a lifelong learner and active developer of others; she was named a finalist in ‘Women in Investments 2019 – Mentor of The Year’.
Lee Murray
Chief Client Officer
Lee is Chief Client Officer of the Taranata Group, including Hanya Partners. Her role is to grow customer relationships and drive service excellence in all that we do. It is to drive greater collaboration with our clients, bringing their voice in to the heart of our organisation and ensure that the services we offer reflect their evolving needs.
In addition to being CCO, Lee is a board director of Head Resourcing Limited and a board director of ScotlandIS, Scotland’s trade body for the digital technologies industry. Lee is also a member of the SDS led gender diversity workstream for the Digital Economy Skills Programme and has recently become a mentor for Women in Banking & Finance (UK).

Brendan is experienced in Core System selection and procurement, IT procurement and Business Process outsourcing
His extensive industry expertise across Financial Services, Professional Services, Telecoms, Aviation and Oil & Gas, has seen him direct and lead all aspects of commercial and vendor management engagements for successful transformation programmes.
In the FinTech sector, Brendan has experience of challenger bank set-ups. insurance start-ups and pension re-platforming, leading in the selection of core banking systems, credit card systems, network solution, and pension administration systems.
Brendan has led Procurement teams both as a director and as an interim. He is an accomplished Commercial and Contract negotiator, successfully delivering efficiencies and cost benefits throughout the system lifecycle.
Brendan’s broad and diverse experience includes managing supply chains in the offshore oil and gas sector; contract and finance lead in the sale of a large airport to a private equity partnership; offshoring of Applications Development and Maintenance of a large mobile telecoms operator. Successfully tendering, negotiating and managing a major contract for the implementation of networks in hospitals in Scotland.
Tom Luft

Tom has over 18 years procurement experience in multiple industry sectors spanning a wide range of roles and responsibilities. For the last 12 years, Tom’s roles have focused on technology and services sourcing & supplier management. He now provides customer focused procurement services helping organisations to deliver on vendor and programme objectives.
Tom’s supply chain career started with a UK Manufacturer where he was given a broad responsibility for supply chain and procurement activities and specifically for being part of the nascent indirect procurement team when this company was divested by its parent.
He has subsequently worked in financial services, aerospace and professional services, managing multiple procurement categories but with a significant focus on technology infrastructure. Tom has a depth of experiences in leading high visibility sourcing activities through ongoing category management and strategic procurement programmes.
Tom has been global category lead for a major investment bank, the UK’s leading aerospace manufacturer, and a large global investment company. He has designed and delivered a wealth of category and project strategies including definition of procurement processes and the adoption of eSourcing tools to maximise value.
During his career, Tom has experienced wide-ranging organisational complexity, including pressurised cost cutting & risk mitigation in the Banking industry post financial crisis, acquisition / divestment / integration programmes, to operating in consultancy. Regardless of the circumstances, Tom builds strong stakeholder and supplier relationships based on delivering long lasting, sustainable solutions to customer challenges.

Chris Boon

Chris’s specific experience in Life and Pensions is extensive. He has recently led and completed a full platform replacement assessment and supplier selection for a leading UK mutual, covering investment, pensions and protection products.
Chris has detailed experience of working with clients who provide self-enrolment pensions services and has undertaken evaluation of IT and service solutions to this sector of the pensions market.

David Downs

Delivering IT and Business Process sourcing engagements for an impressive client list across in the UK, Europe and beyond, David looks to adopt innovative approaches to strategic sourcing – accelerating the overall process through collaboration, to build deals at pace that deliver against the key objectives and foster successful long-term relationships. His clients span both SMEs and large enterprises, with annual contract values in the range £300k to £500m pa, and typically delivering savings from 25% – 50%.
His recent projects have encompassed sourcing strategy, supplier selection, digital transformation, cost optimisation, commercial / regulatory assurance, and procurement function transformation.
David’s Financial Services experience includes:
- ITO engagements: Covering all IT service towers – both selection and ongoing performance management.
